Rural 2018

David Jones – Labour Candidate – Wyre Forest Rural

I am delighted to introduce myself as your Labour Party District Council Candidate for our area, Wyre Forest Rural.

I live locally in Cookley and have spent many years cycling and walking my dog around the unique area in which we live.

I am married to Joanne and we have two teenage children who were schooled locally. I enjoyed actively supporting both schools through involvement with their PTAs and as a parent governor.

As Chairman of Cookley Sports Club, I have been fortunate to work amongst a great team of volunteers to deliver numerous community activities whose generated funds have supported many local charities and continue to do so.

With the forthcoming Local Plan on the horizon, there has never been a more important time to get involved in local politics and support a candidate who will defend the area we call home.

If elected, I will vote against any green belt development in Wyre Forest and I will fight to ensure that all housing development delivers proper infrastructure and safer roads. When the green belt is gone, it won't come back.

If you would like to get involved, in any way you can, please contact me:

Join me in this fight and vote for David Jones on Thursday 3rd May.
