Councillor Steve Walker
I have lived and worked in Broadwaters for 7 years, I absolutely love the community of Broadwaters and I believe Broadwaters has the passion and fire to make it the best community in Wyre Forest. I have a proven track record of standing up for our area and have immersed myself in numerous campaigns which have been of great benefit to Broadwaters and the wider community, ensuring we are not sold short.
This has meant I have instigated action for a pedestrian crossing at the bottom of Sion hill, campaigned to keep the Broadwaters Inn a Public House, walkways to be opened not closed off to ramblers, the car park for the Rose Theatre to remain a “Free” parking zone, and have been vocal over the closure of vital public toilet provision. Additionally, I joined the campaign to protect our children’s school bus service and have supported and argued that the former Sion Hill School site be used for much needed social housing. I am also very active in a variety of voluntary projects, working to improve the lives of residents in Broadwaters and for our children’s future.
The Labour Party wants to be rooted in the very heart of the local community and that’s why I had to get involved. I want to protect and build on the services we have in Broadwaters for the benefit of the wider community.
I am very passionate about using my skills and knowledge to help make our area a great place to live. This means Broadwaters & Kidderminster needs a strong voice that will address the many challenges it faces.
I very much want to be a part of a team that listens and delivers what you the people want. I will work tirelessly for the people of Broadwaters and Kidderminster.
Thank you voting for me and the Labour team.
