It’s a sad day for our NHS!

Our clinical commissioning groups are asking peoples thoughts, as they need to save  money and they are asking you if you will mark one of five boxes from strongly support this proposal to strongly against this proposal.

The proposals they want you to grade include.

1. Restrict access to knee and hip replacements.
2. Restrict access to physiotherapy for ‘minor injuries’.
3. Restrict the provision of NHS hearing aids for people with mild hearing loss.
4. Restrict access to chiropody.
5. Restrict access to IVF treatment.
6. Restrict access to gluten free foods on prescription.
7. Restrict access to cataract surgery for people with mild vision difficulties.
8. Restrict access to stertilisation procedures.
9. Restrict access to some treatments for patients with ‘unhealthy life styles’.
10. To encourage GP practices to determine how unwell a patient is over the phone, to see if they need an appointment at all.
11. Reduce the number of beds in the community and increase the amount of care available at home.
12. Establish a maximum additional cost that the CCG funds in order for a patient to continue to receive care at home…when a more cost effective setting (such as a specialist residential home) is available.

I urge all of you to vote strongly against all the proposals above.

You may not be affected now but you or your family ultimately will be.

I’ve listened week after week that everything is fine in the NHS, that more money than ever before is going into it. How Junior Doctors are wrong in going on strike and that running a full 7 day a week NHS is possible without the necessity of more bodies (pun intended) and I just don’t believe it, in fact I do not believe a word that this Government now tells me, and our local CCG’s above if they take steps to reduce the care we get will be forcing many of us into pain and suffering. It is time to stand up and fight to save our NHS.
