Many people are hoping they may receive special gifts this Christmas, whilst many are wishing they could have back some basic services and care.

Older people who are denied care or to whom it is provided in a haphazard and distinctly uncaring way. Children in learning need who have lost their familiar support specialist and those specialists who have lost their jobs. Victims of unfair trading who have little support from Trading Standards.
In Worcestershire these wishes will not come true while the Conservative dominated county council continues to systematically dismantle public services (all in-line with central government policy).
It is often said that for the poorest, most vulnerable and most needy Christmas is an unhappy time. This needs to change. The good works of charities are not enough. Government at all levels including the Worcestershire County Council needs to care for its citizens at Christmas and throughout the year.
