Last week Oxfam published a report on inequality that calls on the Chancellor, George Osbourne, to put an end to tax dodging using tax havens. It claims that the Treasury is losing around £5bn a year from British “tax-dodgers” holding more than £170bn in tax havens.

Ending the Era of Tax Havens, calls for a crackdown on tax havens that enable rich individuals and companies to avoid paying their fair share of tax in the UK.

Also last week, STAWF (Stop Tax Avoidance in Wyre Forest)  launched its own campaign at Wyre Forest Council HQ to identify local offshore property owners. STAWF aims to increase local awareness of the cost of both local and national tax evasion and avoidance.
Go to www.stawf.org.uk to see which properties in Wyre Forest are owned by overseas companies located in tax havens.
