“It seems having defended the indefensible in supporting the starving of the poorest most vulnerable kids in a Shuttle article, and getting slated, the Wyre Forest MP has gone all shy.

The constituency is still waiting to hear what he’s got to say on the latest Govt announcement #lockdownUK 2 that has arisen as a result of his Party and Prime Minister failing to follow the SAGE advice over a month ago as virus cases soar.

I’d like to ask him what he’s also got to say about schools not closing which is a considerable source of infection?

What’s he got to say about the failure of the falsely labelled NHS test & trace which is a £12billion bung to Tory donors Serco etc and has been an unmitigated failure?

What’s he got to say about the Government’s ‘eat out to help out’ scheme which accelerated infection rates acting as a trigger to the current situation?

Since March, the Government has made one catastrophic error after another with dither and delay trying to protect corporate interests and failing in their duty of care to look after the public. I warned about these issues back in March and nothing has changed.

The Government has learnt no lessons and neither has Mark. He’s continually failed his constituents on COVID 19 meaning we all now have to batten down the hatches and dig in for a long hard winter of discontent, pain, loss, and economic malaise.

In ignoring expert advice and putting the interests of top advisors who flouted lockdown 1 rules – the path to where we are now was set. And we’ll all pay the price as those at the top are cushioned from the economic affect of the pandemic and it becomes harder for the public to trust Government messaging.

Yes, we should all do our bit and I’ve been awe struck by local business, charities, and people pulling together to get through the crisis so far. What we need now is Government doing their bit so they restore lost trust so they can keep the latest lockdown as short as possible. They need to ensure those left behind – including the self employed and lowest paid – are properly looked after but which is sadly lacking currently.

We’ll need more than claps for our magnificent NHS going forward. They need proper PPE, proper funding, and a pay rise to reward them for all of their efforts.

I suggest everyone writes to Mark Garnier (Email: mark.garnier.mp@parliament.uk or Phone: 020 7219 7198) to let him know what you think of his slavish following of the incompetence evident in his Party leader. And ask him what his response is to the questions I’ve ask above.

I wish everyone all the best and that you all stay safe.”
