Green New Deal: We have a plan for a cleaner, greener, healthier Worcestershire to improve our environment
WE HAVE A PLAN for a cleaner, greener, healthier Worcestershire to improve our environment. It's not just about clean air and water - it's about new sustainable employment that benefits the environment and the community.

βœ“ We will support the development of Green Jobs by encouraging start up companies, and supporting local colleges to provide apprenticeship schemes.

βœ“ We will increase the amount of renewable energy generated by and used by the council, and ensure the council is open and accountable with it’s environmental targets.

βœ“ We want to build a clean future with sustainable employment.

Worcestershire County Council Candidate for Stourport-on-Severn, Jackie Griffiths says, "Although we seem to be in a never-ending COVID lockdown, I think it's important that we don't lose sight of the future for ourselves, our families and our planet. We need a 'Green New Deal for Worcestershire', for our environment and our economy."

Stourport-on-Severn Candidate, Nick Savage adds, "We live in challenging times, dominated by COVID 19. The priority now is to create more jobs, with a green approach, by expanding local commerce."
