Candidate in Wribbenhall and Arley for District and Wribbenhall for Bewdley Town

I have lived with my children and grandchildren in Bewdley and Wribbenhall for over 40 years, apart for a few years away to care for my elderly parents, and have been a member of the Labour Party for the whole of that time.

I am a retired university lecturer and am keen to play a part in serving the community I call home. I very much support taking every possible action to save our planet from climate change and to safeguard our environment.

If elected, I will work with determination and honesty to make our home an even betterplace to live. This means, amongst other tasks:

• Safeguarding our heritage and protecting the Museum

• Restoring Sunday bus services and improving links to the rail services

• Ensuring there is a safe walking and cycling route from Wribbenhall to the schools and the town centre, which means supporting the building of a footbridge crossing over the Severn

• Promoting a green agenda on our local councils.
