Gareth Webster: Broadwaters
"If I am re-elected, I will continue to campaign for the funds that our ward needs to prosper so paid council workers can work alongside our dedicated voluntary groups for the mutual benefit of our community."
Hello, my name is Gareth Webster. I live with my wife and our first child in a little house on Hurcott Road. I have worked as local postman in and around Wyre Forest for over twelve years, and in that time I have walked every street in the area and seen the diversity, beauty, and history, that is part of the fabric of our wonderful communities.
I am honoured and delighted to have been reselected as the Labour Candidate for Broadwaters Ward. I’ve lived in the ward for over seven years now after settling down, and choosing the District as our home to raise a family. It is truly is a great area. We have some brilliant parks right on our doorstep, and whilst it would be best of they are maintained by council employees bringing in a wage to their families, the parks are maintained and improved by some very committed and hard-working volunteers. If I am re-elected, I will continue to campaign for the funds that our ward needs to prosper so paid council workers can work alongside our dedicated voluntary groups for the mutual benefit of our community.
I will be a voice of reason and fairness, speaking up for those unrepresented and ignored by the Conservatives and other parties.
I believe in fairness and equality, where a person’s background and circumstance will not determine their future. We should all have the opportunity to better ourselves without prejudice or disadvantage.
The Labour Party is the only party which stands by these ideals, and as a District Councillor, I will give a voice to those who do not have the money, power, or influence, to achieve their ambitions.
Let’s make a difference together for a better Broadwaters, and for the many not the few.
