My name is Leigh Whitehouse, I am 31, and was born in Kidderminster. I’ve lived in this town all of my life. I live in the ward with my partner and 2 year old daughter. After leaving sixth form, I joined the public sector and have worked within this sector ever since.
Please believe me when I say that I am absolutely passionate about bringing positive change to our community. If I say I am going to do something I will do my utmost to make it happen and do it with conviction. I am a ‘get up and go’ type of person, I have a proven track record of assisting the most vulnerable in our community. I have a particular interest in fundraising for charity, I have raised over £6,000 for children’s charities in the last 18 months.
My areas of particular interest are: Safeguarding Children and Adults, Emergency Services, Health including Mental Health, Transport, the Environment, Housing, tackling Homelessness, and ensuring citizens get the right help and support at the right time.
